Alejandro Muguerza, President and creative force behind Le Basque, grew up in the Basque Country, Spain. This heritage has been the defining feature that has influenced his culinary direction.

PASSIONATE ABOUT FOOD, HE LEADS HIS KITCHEN USING CULINARY TECHNIQUES SHARED BY RENOWNED CHEFS FROM BILBAO, SAN SEBASTIAN AND THROUGHOUT THE BASQUE REGION OF SPAIN.

A balance of tradition and innovation has led this region of northern Spain to be one of the most highly regarded gastronomic cultures in the world. This environment, combined with an Anglophile upbringing; his art studies in Florence; years spent living in London and Brussels; and his travels throughout the world, have provided Muguerza the background to bring to the discerning clients of Le Basque an eclectic, international and sophisticated style of entertaining.


IAN PERRIS, CO-FOUNDER AND
EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT

As Co-Founder and Executive Vice President of Le Basque, Ian Perris specializes in sales and event production with a focus on executing impeccable service. A native of London, Perris has dedicated his life to working in the service industry at the most prestigious level.

HE HAS HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO RUN THE HOUSEHOLDS OF NOTABLES SUCH AS THE LORD MAYOR OF LONDON, DOROTHY DE ROTHSCHILD, HRH PRINCE KHALED BIN SULTAN BIN ABDUL AZIZ AL SAUD, AND THE LATE EARL SPENCER, FATHER TO DIANA, PRINCESS OF WALES.

His perfectly British approach to service and protocol is highly regarded and balanced by a creative flair for entertaining. Working with some of highest members of aristocracy and society, he has brought an extraordinary resume and wealth of experience to Le Basque.


JIM MOZINA, CO-OWNER AND
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

The perfect marriage of an inventive mind meets strategic thinker, Jim Mozina is the Co-Owner and Chief Operating Officer of Le Basque.

HE PROVIDES BALANCE TO THE CREATIVITY OF HIS CO-FOUNDERS, IAN PERRIS AND ALEJANDRO MUGUERZA, AND THRIVES IN SITUATIONS THAT REQUIRE EXTREME ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND LOGISTICS COORDINATION.

Prior to his success with the Le Basque team, Mozina studied engineering at University of Wisconsin, which has allowed him to exercise one of the essential ingredients in successful event management – the constant application of practical thinking.
